Piers Morgan wades into Ellen DeGeneres row with ‘diabolical’ discovery: ‘Rule one of TV’

Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan, 55, has aired his views on claims a couple of “toxic” office tradition at The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The programme, which is hosted by comic Ellen DeGeneres, 62, has come below hearth just lately, as accusers complained the present was “dominated by fear” behind-the-scenes.

I’ve worked for one or two and the sugar-coated icing is simply that – just a sickly coating to mask the ranting underbelly!  At least with @piersmorgan what you see is what you get – a forthright man who may shout to get to the truth, but a decent chap nonetheless.”

A second Twitter person commented: “I totally agree, I have met some famous people and how different they are on tv to in person amazes me, it’s all for show and to get followers sadly.”

However, others defended Ellen, with one fan replying: “I feel the need to add this. In the case of a show like this one or any other it does not categorically mean the person in charge is responsible for the conduct of those working under them. You can be a fabulous person but still have vile people working around you. It happens.”

Another argued: “The accusers say it’s not Ellen DeGeneres but sure let’s make sweeping statements about kindness.”


“And for that, I’m sorry. Anyone who is aware of me is aware of it is the alternative of what I imagine and what I hoped for our present.”

The television personality went on to distance herself from the accusations, saying that “individuals who work with me and for me are talking on my behalf and misrepresenting who I’m, and that has to cease”.

Ellen went on to address the backlash she dealt with after coming out as gay in the 1990s, adding: “As somebody who was judged and practically misplaced all the things for simply being who I’m, I actually perceive and have deep compassion for these being checked out otherwise, or handled unfairly, not equal, or – worse – disregarded. To assume that anybody of you felt that means is terrible to me.

“I am so proud of the work we do and the fun and joy we all help put out in the world. I want everyone at home to love our show and I want everyone who makes it to love working on it. Again, I’m so sorry to anyone who didn’t have that experience.”

The present’s manufacturing firm WarnerMedia additionally mentioned “several staffing changes” would happen because of its investigation.

They mentioned in a press release: “Though not all of the allegations were corroborated, we are disappointed that the primary findings of the investigation indicated some deficiencies related to the show’s day-to-day management.
