A judge has granted the estranged wife of seven-time Pro Bowl safety Earl Thomas a restraining order following an alleged drunken attack one day after Christmas, according to a report.
Thomas, who was cut by the Baltimore Ravens in the offseason, was ordered last week to stay at least 400 feet away from Nina Thomas’ home in Austin, Texas, after he allegedly broke a window at her parents’ home while “clearly enraged,” TMZ reported Wednesday.
Court documents obtained by the outlet show that Nina Thomas agreed to spend Christmas with her estranged husband at her parents’ home in Orange, Texas, so the family could be together over the holidays.
But Earl Thomas instead “chose to stay out all night drinking” on Christmas and returned to the home on Dec. 26 while “visibly intoxicated,” later telling Nina to “suck my d–k” in front of their daughter, she alleged in court documents.
Nina Thomas said she then locked the 2014 Super Bowl champ out of the home, prompting him to become “irate” and start beating on windows – including one he shattered with his fist, leaving blood on the home’s front porch, according to the report.
Cops responded to the home and investigators questioned Earl Thomas at a hospital, where he admitted breaking the window. But the former Baltimore safety “reported no crime was committed to cause his injuries,” according to the police documents, which lists the criminal investigation as “inactive,” TMZ reported.
Nina Thomas also claimed in court docs that the NFL standout later threatened to “come back” to her parents’ house and to “burn” all of her things if she returned to their home in Austin, as well as to assault her.
“To further torment me, Earl sent an intimate video of himself and another woman to my phone,” Nina Thomas further alleged in the docs.
“I am scared of Earl and believe that there is clear and present danger,” she wrote, saying she believes both she and the couple’s children “will be harmed.”
The couple, who were married in 2016, have three children together. Nina Thomas filed for divorce in November.
Earl Thomas, meanwhile, is scheduled to appear before a judge via video later this month. He has denied the allegations through a rep, TMZ reported.
